Music can have a powerful effect on our emotions, and it can be used to help us relax, de-stress, and feel more positive. For this year’s World Mental Health Day, we have created two playlists curated by our team and network of young leaders worldwide.
“In a world of diversity where often values clash, music leaps across language barriers and unites people of quite different cultural backgrounds. And so, through music, all peoples can come together to make the world a more harmonious place.” – Kofi Annan
World Mental Health Day is celebrated annually on 10 October, and this year, thanks to the help of our Kofi Annan Changemakers, Extremely Together leaders, and our staff members, we have created two playlists with music from around the world. The first, Music for Strength and Courage – Resilience Playlist,” features uplifting and inspiring music to help you overcome challenges and find the strength to persevere. The second, “Sounds for a Peaceful Mind – Peace Playlist”, features calming and relaxing music for finding your inner peace.
Both playlists are available on YouTube Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. We hope these playlists can help you take a break and enjoy the power of music.
