The Kofi Annan Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Sibi Lawson-Marriott to its Board
Sibi Lawson-Marriott is Director of Girl Capital/Child Protection at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), where she manages the Foundation’s portfolio of investments dedicated to ending all forms of violence against children across Africa, with a particular focus on eliminating forced and child marriage. A veteran international development practitioner, she has held senior leadership roles across Africa and within the multilateral system, including with the World Food Programme and UNICEF.
“I am delighted to welcome Sibi Lawson-Marriott to the Board of the Kofi Annan Foundation,” said Board Chair Elhadj As Sy. “Sibi brings extensive experience from a distinguished career spanning international development, humanitarian action and the multilateral system. Her deep understanding of Africa, her commitment to advancing the rights and wellbeing of children, and her experience building partnerships across sectors will bring valuable perspectives to the Foundation’s work.”
On joining the Board, Sibi Lawson-Marriott said, “I am deeply honoured to join the Kofi Annan Foundation, especially at a time when the values of multilateralism, universal human rights, inclusive leadership and global partnership that Kofi Annan represented and worked so hard for are more important than ever.
