Prix Pictet 2011

12 artists were shortlisted for the third Prix Pictet photography prize for environmental sustainability. The theme for this year’s Award was Growth.  Mr. Annan, the Honorary President of Prix Pictet presented the unique trophy especially created by Vicky Ambery-Smith to photographer Mitch Epstein for his series American Power at a Ceremony in Paris on 17 March 2011.  40,000 Swiss Francs commission was also presented to the US photographer Chris Jordan, to carry out a field trip to Kenya where Pictet & Cie is supporting the work of the Tusk Trust, a wildlife conservation charity.
