Play Video
Ahead of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Raebe Khonyane, a Grade 7 pupil at Reddam House School in South Africa, spoke to Kofi Annan through YouTube asking him to put Africa at the top of the WEF agenda.  This video-clip shows Mr. Annan’s response, filmed during his attendance at the Forum.  Following the exchange, Mr. Annan visited the school in Cape Town where he met pupils to hear their views on the best ways to promote Africa to the world in terms of sustainability, agriculture and global warming.   “You’ve told me exactly what this continent needs.  I will go out to the world with your message, with your instructions”,  Annan told the pupils.
