Biography
Syed Ali Abbas Zaidi, 32 years old, Pakistan. Ali is an aeronautical engineer who has set up three foundations dedicated to tackling violent extremism in Pakistan. Through training and mass mobilisation campaigns, Ali seeks to help young people overcome the religious, economic and social divides facing his country. In 2017, his creative use of pop-art on the canvas of rickshaws to relay messages of tolerance and interfaith harmony in Pakistan won him the Intercultural Innovation Award at the United Nations in New York.
