Goodluck Jonathan

Goodluck Jonathan served as President of Nigeria from 2010 to 2015. He is currently the Chairman of the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation.

He is an advocate for best practices in democracy, economic transformation, and peacebuilding and has led a number of election monitoring missions across the African continent. As President of Nigeria, he was lauded for upholding democratic principles and reforming the Nigerian electoral system.

Before joining politics, President Jonathan served as a Science Inspector of Education, a lecturer, and later as an environmental-protection officer.

He earned his Bachelor’s, Master's and Doctorate degrees in Zoology, Hydrobiology and Fisheries Biology from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
