Statement of the AU Panel of Eminent African Personalities on the violence in Samburu North District, Kenya

The Panel of Eminent African Personalities deplores the brutal killing of 42 police officers in Baragoi, Samburu North District.

The Panel expresses its sincere condolences to the bereaved families, the Government and the people of Kenya.

The Panel strongly condemns these acts of violence against police officers and hopes that the perpetrators will be brought to justice in accordance with the rule of law.
