Mr. Kofi Annan and Mr. Benjamin Mkapa, Members of the African Union Panel of Eminent African Personalities, to visit Kenya.

Mr. Kofi Annan and H.E. Mr. Benjamin Mkapa will be visiting Kenya from 8 to 11 October, 2012, in their capacities as members of teh African Union Panel of Eminent African Personalities.

The objective of the visit by Mr. Annan and Mr. Mkapa is to give support and encouragement to the Kenyan people and the country’s institutions as Kenya prepares for an important transition in 2013. Their programme will include meetings with Government, independent and constitutional commissions and other major stakeholder groups, including business leaders, civil society, religious leaders, media and the international community.

A press conference will be held at the conclusion of the visit on Thursday 11 October. Members of the media who are interested in attending are requested to register by emailing press@dialoguekenya.org
