Media Advisory; African Union Panel of Eminent African Personalities to visit Kenya.

Friday, 30 November, 2012, Nairobi – Mr. Kofi Annan and H.E. Mr. Benjamin Mkapa will be visiting Kenya from 2 to 4 December, 2012, in their capacities as members of the African Union Panel of Eminent African Personalities.

The objective of their visit is to follow up on the issues raised during their October visit, and particularly to support electoral preparedness by encouraging nationwide voter registration and voter education.

Their programme will include meetings with Government, independent and constitutional commissions and other major stakeholder groups, including the business leaders, civil society, religious leaders, and the media.

A press conference will be held at the conclusion of the visit on Tuesday 4 December. Members of the media who are interested in attending are requested to register by emailing press@dialoguekenya.org
