“Climate change is an all-encompassing threat to the security and stability of our global community. It is a legacy we cannot leave to future generations.
The latest report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change leaves no doubt that our world continues to experience significant and dangerous changes in weather patterns. The melting of Arctic sea ice, rising sea levels and increasing levels of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere are ample evidence that the health of our planet is deteriorating. Worryingly, but not surprisingly, the findings of the report also reveal that human activity continues to play a significant role in these damaging changes.
We must heed the findings of this scientific research and take urgent action to mitigate the damaging impact mankind is having on our planet. The future of our children and our world depends on it.”
