Tax Exemption
Tax-Deductible Contributions
The Kofi Annan Foundation is a public utility foundation based in Geneva and tax-exempt in Switzerland. Depending on your domicile and subject to tax law advice, your donation may be tax-deductible. The Foundation will issue a receipt for your gift upon request.
- The Swiss Federal Tax law permits a maximum reduction of 20% of the net taxable income for charitable donations by individuals or 20% of their taxable net profit for legal entities. The amount may vary from Canton to Canton.
- For donations from outside Switzerland, please consult your local tax authority to determine your tax liability.
Tax-Deductible Contributions in the USA
U.S.-based donors can make tax-deductible contributions to the Friends of the Kofi Annan Foundation at Myriad USA. Because Myriad USA is a public charity, within the meaning of Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the IRC, donors may claim the maximum tax benefits allowed by U.S. tax law for their contributions.
