Kojo Annan

Entrepreneur and Investor

Kojo Annan is a serial entrepreneur and investor with an extensive global network and strong track record of growing new businesses across international markets.

Kojo is passionate about convening powerful conversations around strategy, the digital transformation of Africa, global citizenship, sports as a tool for development and equality, leadership, global equity in a post-pandemic world and African culture.

He is currently managing Vector Global, a single family office centred primarily on two main pillars; a regional focus within West Africa and a global interest in Innovation, lifestyle and wellbeing.

He is co-founder and Chairman of Boardroom One, an innovative social platform that provides a more efficient and secure way for everyone to communicate, network and create authentic engagement around “Conversations that Matter”.

He is also the Chairman and Co-Founder of Made in Africa (MIA). MIA is a luxury group that bridges African high culture with a global audience. It is led by a team of international retail, distribution, and fashion experts with over 100 years of combined experience in the sector. The Group is uniquely positioned to benefit from Africa’s favourable demographic dynamics and the fast-growing African print market.

In 2002 Kojo co-founded Meridian Port Services (MPS) in partnership with Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority, Bolloré and Maersk (APM Terminals) to develop a modern container terminal in Tema, Ghana. Their world-class Container Terminal services contribute to Ghana’s trade facilitation, providing connectivity to new markets and trading routes. MPS has created thousands of jobs. The last financing round of MPS was $1.5 Billion USD led by the IFC.

Kojo sits on the Advisory Board of the Global Institute for Sports. He is a sports enthusiast on a mission to empower the largest youth population in the world. Between 1999-2003 he served as the President of Vevey Sports FC in Switzerland before founding Africa 10 (A10); a sports for development and peace initiative focused on accelerating excellence in African Youth Athletics.

Kojo has three beautiful children with his wife Shanthi, and whilst travelling extensively, he is primarily based in Ghana.

He holds degrees in Economics and Political Science, is fluent in French and English and is proficient in Yoruba.

Kojo is the son of the late Kofi Annan, former Secretary General of the United Nations and a proud champion of his father’s legacy.
