Oby Obyerodhyambo is a Communication as well as a learning facilitator. He initially trained as a teacher, an all-round theatre practitioner, and a storyteller. Later he built skills in workshop facilitation, communication research and documentation, social mobilization and community education as well as social and political advocacy. He has been active in civil and human rights campaigns as an activist, advocate, organizer, strategist, and documentarist. Oby has close to two decades’ experience in designing, implementing, training, monitoring, and evaluating strategic communication projects in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Eritrea, Ethiopia, India, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Nigeria. Oby has been involved in digital media and social media content development for youth and marginalized populations he blogs under the banner: www.daughterofapoet.wordpress.com. He is a prolific published writer and also a well-respected art, theatre, and film critic, and blogger and meeting moderator and Emcee. Oby is a researcher and scholar with an interest in global communication strategies. He has co-authored several papers in reputable journals on health, culture, communication, politics, and HIV. Oby teaches communication-related courses at various universities. Oby is an active permaculturalist and very keen on sustainable ecological development approaches and social entrepreneurship.
