Maud Roure

Deputy Director for Programmes

Maud is the Deputy Director for Programmes at the Kofi Annan Foundation, where she leads the development of the annual work plan for the Foundation, ensuring the integration of activities and functions, enhancing the overall coherence of what we do and facilitating learning across programmes.

Maud also leads the areas of Building Peace & Trust and Promoting Youth Leadership and the work of the Foundation on the issues of transitional justice and reconciliation. She also coordinates the Extremely Together initiative, a youth-led effort to mobilize and enable young people to prevent violence, extremism and polarization in their society.

Before joining the Foundation in 2017, Maud was the Head of Learning and Policy and a member of the Strategic Management Team at Interpeace. She gained hands-on peacebuilding experience as Interpeace’s Programme Officer for the Great Lakes Region. Maud also worked on political transitions, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration and human rights at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the French Embassy in Namibia, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Niger and Amnesty International in Paris.

Maud holds a Master’s degree in Risk Management in Developing Countries from Sciences Po Bordeaux and an additional Master’s in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law from the Paris-Panthéon Assas University. You can find her on LinkedIn.
