Teresa Lévigne

Senior Programme Manager – Democracy and Multilateralism

Teresa is a Senior Programme Manager for the Democracy and Multilateralism Programmes at the Kofi Annan Foundation. The Democracy and Multilateralism programme of work aims to strengthen democracy, good governance, multilateralism and electoral integrity around the world, and address challenges and opportunities – including those particular to the digital age, peace and sustainable development.

Before joining the Foundation in 2022, Teresa worked in multilateral diplomacy, international law and human rights at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva for ten years, including for the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the International Commission of Jurists. Her prior work experience includes project management at the EU delegation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and at a non-governmental organisation in Tanzania.

Teresa holds a Law degree (LL.B) and Master of Laws degree (LL.M) in International Law from Stockholm University, Sweden, and has completed additional specialist courses in international law, EU procedural law and human rights. She has completed project management training with the EU Commission, the Geneva Academy and the Geneva Graduate Institute. Teresa speaks English, French, Italian and Swedish.
