Karen Zamberia

Programme Manager – Democracy and Multilateralism

Karen Zamberia is a Programme Manager for our Democracy and Multilateralism programmes.

Before joining the Kofi Annan Foundation in 2020, Karen was an Information Analyst at the Assessment Capacities Project (ACAPS), focusing on humanitarian response and refugee affairs. Before moving to Geneva, she was a researcher at the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA), focusing on human rights and media freedom in Eswatini. However, she began her career as a social worker providing psychosocial support to vulnerable communities. 

Karen was born in Nairobi but spent portions of her life in Kenya and Eswatini before moving to Switzerland 

She has an MA in International Relations and Political Science from the Graduate Institute in Geneva, and a BA in Social Science from the University of Eswatini.
