” We will be held accountable if we do not act.”
The latest edition of the African Union’s newsletter ‘Drug Policy Africa’ is now available. It contains multiple articles on the work of the West African Commission on Drugs, and interviews with several Commission members, including Former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo, and Grammy-Award Winning Singer Oumou Sangaré:
“Mali is undergoing a crisis at the moment due in part to the role of illicit drugs. So it behoves us to carry this message to the people by raising their awareness because drugs have political, social, and health consequences as well.”
” I believe I can use my role as a musician in the region and elsewhere to get the message across. Music has that power.”
