Countering Violent Extremism

The Kofi Annan Foundation, with the support of the European Commission and One Young World, is launching an initiative aimed at empowering young people to prevent and counter extremism through peer-to-peer engagement and learning.

Central to the initiative is the formation of a panel of 10 ‘Advocates’; young people with a track record of leadership who have taken action in their local communities against violent extremism. The programme will provide the Advocates with an international platform, raising awareness of their work and enhancing their impact.

The search for the panel is now on. If you are a young leader and believe you would be a strong contributor to this project, apply to join the team today.

How to apply

To apply to join the panel simply email your CV/Resume along with a covering letter to before 18 February 2016. Please make sure to read the ‘Criteria for Advocates’ below to ensure that you can make your application relevant to the role.

What will the Advocates do?
