Maurice understood the importance of galvanizing political will to respond to environmental concerns long before they appeared on the international agenda. He will be remembered for his remarkable vision.
A man of many talents and qualities who served the international community with unwavering commitment in many capacities, Maurice will be sorely missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
